Olivier Roy

Olivier Roy is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Bayreuth (Germany), and external member of the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy. He completed his PhD in 2008 at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation of the University of Amsterdam. He studies questions of rationality in strategic interaction, learning and belief revision in social network, structure and justification of norms, and the philosophy of shared agency. He is associate editor of Topoi and Section co-editor for the “Logic, Computation and Agency” Section of the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. He is co-chair of the steering committee of the DEON (Deontic Logic in Computer Science) and the LOFT (Logic and the Foundations of Decision and Game Theory) conference series.
